This is absorbing not so much for its lurid account of a teacher / pupil affair, as for its realistic yet slightly psychopathic narrator. A vivid and darkly funny analysis of power, obsession and loneliness.

I like to read books. Mainly novels, but you might catch me with non-fiction once in a while. I read so many books that I forget which ones I've enjoyed so, since 2001, I’ve written short reviews of all the books I’ve read, and given each one a grade.
